About us

OJAO was established in 2015 by the initiative of the Chairman of Pondok Indah Golf Club (PIGC), chaired by Mr. Freddy Gondowibowo who also one of the organizer of PB-PGI, with the purpose of developing, training, funding and looking for talented amateur golfers in Indonesia.

From all the lobbying efforts that have been done, finally Olympic Golf Club, a golf club in West Java willing to cooperate with its main golf organization, which is PGI Pengprov Jabar, and Emeralda golf course to create a national event with the title Olympic Jabar Amateur Open (OJAO).

The success of the event can be seen from the enthusiasm from all Pengprov in sending their talented golfers to test their skills and add more experiences in competing in a national level event, especially when they were freed from registration fees and accommodations, which was the kind of support they have been expecting all these years.

It is the results and responses of OJAO that make all the founders of OJAO believe to continue holding OJAO and make it as an annual event.

After achieving tremendous great success in 2016, starting 2017 the committee has decieded to raise the level of OJAO from a national to an annual International event.
